• Full Time, Permanent
• Salary from £30,000 per year, negotiable dependent on experience
• MOT Tester and Level 3 NVQ desirable

Our client is a vehicle service and MOT centre based in Lowfield Heath, Crawley.

They are looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their team working Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. (No weekends).


In this role you will be required to:

• Undertake vehicle repairs and servicing as instructed to the highest standard of workmanship.
• Test and diagnose faults and accurately report to service team.
• Use power tools and hand tools to complete repairs and installations.
• Liaise with and assist technicians when necessary.
• Ensure WIP’s deadlines are met or liaise with customers to advise new timeline.
• Maintain work areas, tools and equipment in a safe and clean condition, observing health and safety procedures.
• Provide first class customer service.
• Obtain authorisation from customers to carry out additional work.
• Undertake any training that would be beneficial to both business and personal needs.

Skills

You will be an experienced technician with a relevant formal qualification, strong Mechanical knowledge and aptitude.

• Able to work unsupervised in a well-equipped workshop
• A team player happy to assist colleagues as and when necessary.
• Proficient in using power tools and hand tools
• Diagnostic skills
• Able to maintain and repair equipment efficiently
• Great communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to both colleagues and customers.
• Customer focused, able to keep customers experience and safety in mind throughout the service or diagnosis and repair
• A full UK drivers’ licence is required for this role.

MOT Tester desirable but not essential.

Level 3 NVQ desirable but not essential.

Please note: Heavy lifting may be required in this role.
