Quantity Surveyor/ Estimator

Our acclaimed industrial and commercial decorating client are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join their professional team in Mansfield. The post holder will receive a highly competitive salary and have the opportunity to work on varied projects across the UK.

Quantity Surveyor / Estimator
Mansfield, NG18

• Full Time, Permanent position
• Salary Circa £60,000 + bonus
• Monday - Friday (No weekend working)

Our client have been providing high-quality commercial, industrial, retail, care and public sector decorating services since 1993 to a range of blue-chip end users and construction clients. They pride themselves on being highly knowledgeable. Our clients extensive experience and considered approaches mean that their staff are trained to the highest levels and treat each project individually, adapting to the requirements set by the client.

Due to continued expansion they are now looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join their supportive team at their East Midlands head office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measurement, pricing and evaluation of tenders.
• Producing and submitting applications/invoices for payment.
• Negotiating with suppliers, sub-contractors and clients.
• Maximising value and minimising costs.
• Working to deadlines.
• Attending pre-let and post contract meetings.

Required Qualifications and Attributes:

• Fully qualified Quantity Surveyor with at least 10 years’ experience preferably with a finishing trade background.
• BSC / HND preferred.
• Hold a valid CSCS card.
• Hold a full UK driving license (to travel to client sites).

IT and Systems Experience:

• Must have strong Microsoft Suite - Word & Excel, SMM, NRM capability
• Must be familiar with online portals such as Payapps/COINS

Personal Skills:

• Ambitious, intelligent and driven
• Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Conscientious, methodical and determined
• Able to work on own initiative
• Honest, all round team player
