Elmbridge UK is a privately owned and reputable business that specialises in the supply of coatings and application equipment to the manufacturing and fabrication industry.

This was joined by our industrial coatings department in 1998 closely followed by spray equipment in 2000. The last part of our current puzzle is our wood coatings department which took off in 2008.

We are a close knit; family business and we would like to welcome you to apply for the position of Service Engineer.

A day in the life of a Mechanical Service Engineer:

As a Service Engineer you will be involved with the repair of equipment mainly at our main branch in Gloucester. However, you will also repair and install equipment at customers facilities.

Duties will include:

  • Carrying out service and repair to pneumatic pumps, paint spraying equipment and other related equipment in our workshops or at our clients facilities
  • Installing and Servicing Compressors and Air Ring Mains
  • Preparing equipment for hire, demonstration, and sale
  • Fault finding and corresponding with manufacturers of equipment
  • Logging all work carried out and ensuring 100% accountability
  • Acting as an ambassador for the company when on our customer’s sites
  • Being able to work alone and manage your own time proactively when both on and off site and develop relationships with the customers and supply partners

To be in the running, you will need:

  • Experience in mechanical engineering or associated areas
  • Ideally some experience in electrical fault finding and working on site
  • To be a positive, motivated, and self-disciplined individual who has a lot of common sense and thrives on continuous improvement
  • Be able to think well on your feet, use your own initiative and work well on your own or as part of a team
  • Appreciate and work well with deadlines and can be relied upon when the pressure is on
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills are important, and you must have the ability to understand the basic principles associated with spraying equipment and compressed air
