An exciting 12 month fixed term opportunity has arisen within our Water Recycling Treatment Team as a Works Technician – Process Controller working across Ipswich.

You will be responsible for ensuring that Water Recycling treatment processes and systems are serviced and maintained so that they run effectively and efficiently in order to meet our regulatory standards.

You will need to take prompt action in response to reactive work, both during and outside the normal working day, and you will also need to be flexible with regards to carrying out additional tasks that are key to ensuring the safe running of the site.


You will be qualified to GCSE level or equivalent and will preferably have experience of sewage treatment. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels.

Your ability to learn quickly and use your own initiative to solve problems will be key to the success of your team and in return for your commitment and enthusiasm, we will provide detailed training.

As the sites operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, a flexible approach to working hours is required and you will be on a roster with the other Works Technicians. You will work 37 hours per week over 6 days. Please note that there will be some weekend, evening work and Standby shifts incorporated into the roster.

If successful in your application, you will benefit from access to a company vehicle, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
