The Workplace Advisory team at AECOM (formerly DEGW) were one of the first to start the debate about how workplace can be a catalyst for change within an organisation. We are currently looking for a Workplace Strategy Consultant with a minimum of 3 years’ experience to join our team based in our London office.

Workplace Strategy and Design at AECOM is rapidly evolving as we respond to recent events and we are using our skills across multiple sectors and scales to create future focused solutions. Our services include strategic briefing, building analysis, space planning, user experience and change management. Our project range is varied and wide and includes corporate workplaces, universities, museums, and much more.


Ability to think strategically – an in depth understanding of client challenges and how current workplace strategies and design trends can address them


Ability to build and maintain client relationships and support the management of key client accounts (where appropriate) with a pipeline of work overtime.


Comfortable supporting client communications and supporting on workshops and presentations


Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities effectively, often under time pressures


Ability to think from both an organisational demand and building supply perspective, a good understanding of the relationship between the two


Comfortable with data and research material – ability to draw out the ‘story’ from data and present it in a clear and concise way


Ability to manage small to medium projects including taking responsibility for the management of content quality and the client relationship under the guidance of a senior team member.


Seeks out innovation and best practice across all areas of the role – brings new ideas and thinking to client work and also to the team and to the practise


Networking- attends events, conference and reads industry-relevant publications and material to stay up to date with trends and challenges across sectors


Adhere to AECOM systems - to ensure that the quality of the output is managed in line with AECOM standards


Work with and learn from other members of a multi-disciplinary office about workplace strategy and design

Minimum Requirements


Demonstrable experience in workplace strategy


Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and InDesign, strong graphics skills


Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to convey complex ideas and messages in a simple and clear way

Preferred Qualifications

* BSc/ MSc Degree or equivalent in a relevant Design disciplines or Social Sciences
