BTS provides HCM and Finance consulting services across multiple industries and covers the whole process chain from strategy consulting through to the design, implementation and operation of the Workday solution.

we are seeking experienced Workday functional consultants, to join our vibrant and growing Workday practice. Candidates for this role should have proven sales and delivery experience with Workday, including outstanding presentation, written and verbal communication skills.

Working with many of the largest organisations in the world our Workday consultants get involved in many of the most exciting projects, from bid and design right through to implementation and delivery. You'll work on our top tier client portfolio at the cutting edge of business and cognitive technology, working closely with a variety of stakeholders. At IBM, you'll get experience with projects that span the globe, and work with the world's largest experienced services skill pool, in more than 170 countries worldwide.

As a Workday Payroll Lead Consultant, you will demonstrate experience in the following areas:

1. Project Lead Duties
* Lead in all stages of a workday project lifecycle, from pre-sales, planning, design and testing through to deployment and support/enhancement.
* Lead one more concurrent projects or assignments
* Actively support the Project Manager to plan tasks and tenants across all project stages, in collaboration with other workstreams, to factor all dependencies.
* Communicate, plan and solution effectively with other members of the team, management, and client.
* Possess sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to clearly and articulately document workbooks, decision papers, risks, project status and other relevant project documentation
* Lead workshops and design sessions, translating client requirements into deliverable functional solutions adhering to best practices Use your consultative experience to develop solutions to plug any functional gaps
* Provide clear instructions & guidance to clients for populating workbooks
* Plan and lead building of all prototype tenants and migration to Production including smoke testing activities
* Deliver client confirmation sessions demonstrating configuration in the prototype tenant builds, and how the customer requirements are met. Ensure client team is prepared for testing
* Lead testing support activities to ensure defects are resolved in satisfactory SLA’s
* Ensure all Delivery Assurance (DA) Checkpoints are compliant and completed on time
* Assist with Data Conversion & Reporting activities as needed
* Assist integrations teams with functional guidance
* Provide regular project status & budget updates to the Project Manager, highlighting and mitigating Risks and Issues early
* Provide clear guidance to the client team and your consulting colleagues throughout all project stages
2. Payroll/ Time Tracking/ Absence Pillar/Domain Lead duties:
* Lead the payroll /time workstreams through all project stages.
* Develop and maintain detailed methodology and best practices for this area, ensuring consistency across all Workday solution areas, as well as aligning with HCM / Finance / Global teams.
* Help build and manage a team of consultants. Guide and develop consultants new to Workday, both on projects and through internal training.
* Collaborate and share knowledge on product, methodology, UKI and other relevant legislative change & best practices with your team.
3. Pre-Sales / Solutioning Duties:
* Ability to accurately estimate scope, effort and resources required to complete projects.
* Assist with pre-sales activities providing input into bids / proposals / SOW’s as needed.
* Develop and maintain Discovery Questionnaires, Scoping Documents / SOW’s etc templates.
* Possess excellent written and presentation skills.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

* Must have Lead 2 or more End to End Workday Payroll Implementations (ideally UK payroll), demonstrating hands-on design/solutioning, configuration and testing / parallel testing experience for all of the following solution areas – statutory and occupational absence, HMRC - RTI, Pensions auto-enrollment, payments and deductions, pay statements, payroll posting and reporting.
* Experience or knowledge of UK payroll process and legislation – (e.g. CIPD)
* Experience of building, managing and mentoring a team of Workday Payroll consultants
* Be able to identify strategies, alternatives, approaches, risks, and mitigations to meet requirements, as well as assist in testing and resolving issues.
* Experience of developing methodology and continuous improvements in delivery
Workday Certification Requirements
* Workday Payroll Certification and UK Localisation
* Workday HCM Certification

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

* Hands on experience as a UK payroll manager
* Hands on experience / certification in Workday Time Tracking and or absence
* Payroll/ CIPD Qualification
