Job Summary

The AECOM Water business has an immediate requirement for a Wastewater Project Manager to join our Caledonia Water Alliance team in Stepps (Glasgow). The team are looking for a Project Manager to lead Projects from engagement through to completion, and be accountable for all aspects of the delivery. The successful individual will be responsible for ensuring that all activity is planned and executed to the highest standards and in accordance with the CWA and Scottish Water requirement.

Role Duties:

*

Manage portfolio of multiple projects.

*

Deliver revenues assigned from the client as a result of repeat business caused by flawless execution of projects.

*

Consistently deliver profit margins planned.

*

Consistently complete projects without write-downs or multiplier erosion.

*

Manage projects involving Risk Triggering Factors.

*

Manage complex projects.

*

Have decision-making authority and direct other Project Team members in recognising risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.

*

Direct staff to operate and minimise exposure to claims.

*

Supervise and direct Project Team members with multiple projects or programme of projects.

Key Responsibilities Include:

*

Strategic health, safety and environmental management and leadership to drive the highest standards.

*

Deliver Projects with the agreed time, cost & quality requirements.

*

Work closely with the planning team to build delivery programmes and monitor progress.

*

Risk management for Projects.

*

Project Management of the principal subcontracts.

*

Prepare progress reports for the CWA Management team.

*

Manage the Project team and work with the CWA management team to ensure availability of suitably skilled resource.

Minimum Requirements

*

Experience in the full cycle of project design delivery from inception to detailed design.

*

Sufficient experience to lead major water and drainage infrastructure engineering projects.

*

Project Management Qualification - experience with NEC Option contracts.

*

Ability to liaise and engage with clients and key stakeholders.

*

Provide mentoring, guidance and technical advice to support and supervise junior staff.

*

Flexible to travel to other AECOM and client offices.

Preferred Qualifications

*

Engineering degree qualified.

*

Chartered Engineer Status (or approaching chartered status).
