About the Role
WSP is seeking to recruit a Wastewater Modeller to join the high performing Water Team based at our Holywood (Belfast) Office.
Your overall role will be to provide technical support on drainage/wastewater projects to ensure accurate and efficient project delivery for internal and external clients. You will have the opportunity to work on a range of significant commissions for Clients that include Irish & UK Water Companies.
The role will enable you to further develop and use your technical skills, applying your expertise to help us continue driving forward in terms of both technical quality and service efficiency.

Activities may include:
1. Providing technical capability in delivering network modelling for:
a. Drainage Area Studies
b. Feasibility studies / options development
c. Asset performance assessments / Root Cause Analysis.
2. Support the Principal / Senior Engineer in delivering wastewater projects.
3. Undertaking own continuing professional development under guidance from Line Managers.
4. Operating in accordance with the corporate health and safety, environmental and quality standards.

Beyond qualifications, the key attributes we look for are the ability to solve problems, the ability to build constructive relationships and a desire to keep learning and improving.
You will hold a relevant degree and be pursuing professional qualification with an applicable institution. You will have an understanding of asset management within the UK Water Industry and have experience in the production of hydraulic models, with a working knowledge of applying industry standard wastewater modelling software (Infoworks) eg in model build, verification and auditing, solution development and design.
A full UK or Irish Driving Licence is advantageous.
You will have the ability to work on your own initiative on technical matters. Good IT skills are paramount (in particular MS Office) and as the role may involve client facing aspects; professionalism and good presentation, written and verbal communication skills in English are a must.
