WHAT TO EXPECT
Vehicle Engineering is the key technical department for the product creation process, leading the engineering from concept to customer. There are three parts to it: Attribute Quality and Process, Vehicle Integrity Team and Vehicle Engineering Management. Working here, you’ll give our vehicles their unique characteristics. It's all part of creating vehicles that delight customers and set us apart from the competition.
In your role as a Vehicle Engineering Project Engineer you’ll be responsible for setting and balancing targets, managing feature and attribute demonstration plans and working towards sign-off on key areas that influence vehicle development across multiple engineering functions and attribute teams.
You’ll create and maintain target and sign-off documentation and ensure robust delivery throughout various engineering gateways. You’ll resolve technical conflicts, ensuring products and components stick to the original statements of intent and success criteria.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You’ll have technical knowledge of key vehicle systems and whole vehicle engineering, bringing experience of working with technical data combined with business skills to enable technical decision-making. You’ll have working knowledge of product creation and delivery systems and will know how to present complex data to multiple stakeholders. You’ll be an exceptional communicator, using your experience of managing outcomes and targets in cross-functional teams.
With experience of programme & project delivery processes, you’ll be highly motivated, be able to work with minimal supervision and be able to demonstrate tenacity, drive, and perseverance. These skills will enable you to deliver operational plans in a complex, highly demanding environment.
You’ll need a strong level of IT literacy with the ability to analyse and present data using IT systems, Microsoft and Google tools. A degree in an engineering subject or charted status is highly desirable in this role, as is any broader business experience.
Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan, and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.
Jaguar Landrover is committed to equal opportunities for all.
