What’s your role in Society?

We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Trainee Technician to join our Civil Engineering Infrastructure team in Ipswich. This is an excellent opportunity to undertake a role which will allow you to gain experience of civil engineering whilst undertaking a Degree Apprenticeship in Civil Engineering.

What does the role involve?

The role is to undertake AutoCAD drawing work on our civil engineering schemes, assisting with feasibility studies, reports, administration, design and detailing under the guidance of our Engineers and Technicians. The team undertakes an interesting and wide variety of work and you will work on a range of projects which will enable you to quickly increase your skills and develop a wide range of experience.

The team currently has three members who are already combining working with gaining their degree qualifications and can provide you excellent support to develop your career. We have a track record of developing employees to achieve their potential.

To be successful in this role you’ll possess:

* A strong desire to continue learning.
* An interest in Civil Engineering.
* A Levels (or equivalent) in science, maths and/or engineering related subjects.
* Good numerical and verbal/written communication skills.
* Experience in using AutoCAD or similar software would be an advantage but is not essential.
