Safety Technician The Role: The Safety Technician is responsible for the calibration, service and maintenance of
company assets and customers owned equipment. To prepare equipment ready for hire
and sale and to pick and pack following orders received.
Complete audits as requested and contribute to the annual stock check.
Working as part of the safety operations team and providing full operational support to all
areas of the business. Key Responsibilities:
Hire, Sale & Utilisation Confirm hire availability with the sales team for incoming enquiries. Maximise on all hire
opportunities to assist with hire utilisation.
Pick and pack equipment and stock for hire and sale orders.
Split orders where required and liaise with the relevant sales coordinator to inform them of
the back order created in the system.
Transfer equipment from the off hire bays to equipment quarantine area for servicing.
Service & Maintenance Complete inspections for lifting equipment following manufacture guidelines and company
Raise workshop jobs in the system detailing hours and parts used for all service,
maintenance and repair work completed saving the updated certificates on the shared drive.
Request parts for workshop jobs to be ordered using the workshop module in the system.
Ensure damage repairs are processed as rechargeable in the system where applicable and
photographs are submitted to support charges.
Request stock and components to be ordered as required.
Customer Equipment Maintenance Complete inspections for customers owned lifting equipment following manufacture
guidelines and company processes. Update customer workshop jobs with labour and parts
required and handover to the Service Coordinator for quoting.
Complete on site servicing as required.
Commercial Maintain accurate stock levels within the system by ensuring orders are picked accurately.
Report stock issues and highlight where customer orders could potentially be delayed.
Complete stock audits as requested, feeding back to the Team Leader and Quality Team.
Support the business during annual stock checks.
Health and Safety Complete tasks in accordance with the depot risk assessments, notify the Team Leader of
any potential noncompliance. Report accidents and near misses using the correct methods.
Ensure the correct PPE is used in the depot at all times.
Maintain excellent levels of housekeeping, ensure areas are free from waste and trip

Quality Ensure works are carried out in accordance with processes.
Contribute to continuous improvement by providing suggestions and feedback to Team
Leaders and Management.
Work to agreed timescales updating the Team Leader on progress. Maintain good
communication with Team Leaders and Management at all times.
All orders are to be wrapped, banded and packaged as per delivery method.
Key measures & targets: Hire utilisation percentage
Turnaround time for equipment service and maintenance
The number of stock issues and picking errors
Key relationships: Safety Team Leader

Logistics Team Person Specification: The successful candidate is likely to meet all of the following criteria:
Essential Previous experience inspecting lifting equipment
Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
Ability to work well within a team, offering support to others
Product knowledge of Ridgegear and Abetch
