Job Title: Trainee Revenue Services Operative
Location: Nottingham, Willenhall, and Orpington
Salary: £21,161 (£24,923 when fully trained)
Permanent | Full Time Hours
In this role, you will visit commercial and domestic properties to investigate instances of faulty metering, potential theft of gas or abstraction of electricity. Ensuring that all instances discovered are made safe, you will rectify any issues come encounter and will work to prevent future breaches from happening.
As part of the role you will be relied on to secure evidence if theft is found and will liaise with local authorities as needed so that appropriate action can be taken. Obtaining and executing Right of Entry Warrants from the local Magistrates Court for both theft of energy and non-payment of Energy will be also be a requirement in this position.
This role does involve evening and weekend work on a rota basis. You must live within a maximum 45 minute commute of your base depot.
Your Skills and Experience
You should be someone who is able to manage challenging situations with customers face to face in an appropriate manner whilst upholding SSE’s brand reputation and guidelines. You will be persuasive to negotiate collections of payments and, where necessary, have the confidence and ability to access customers' properties under authorised warrant situations.
You must be self-disciplined, self-motivated and demonstrate that safety of yourself and the public is at the forefront of all that you do.
We are looking for someone who has a background in a role where they have had to manage customer relationships in a face to face environment and can remain cool under pressure. An electrical background or MOCoPA authorisation would be preferred, but full training will be given for the right candidates if this isn’t already held.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
