Support the Freight Planning & Access team to deliver Robust & Economic Train Plans that ensure the profitability and maintain the reputation of the business.

Key Areas of Responsibility & Accountability
Produce Weekly Train to Customer requirements, ensuring all Train paths are compliant with Network Rail Train Planning Rules and Engineering Access Requirements. Apply for RT3973 Documentation with Network Rail as appropriate.
Work collaboratively with Network Rail Train Planners to ensure the business achieves optimum trailing loads and train timings in order to deliver excellent service to our customers.
Develop Rolling Spot Bid pathing for new traffic, progress to inclusion into the Working Time Table and secure Firm - Access Rights with Network Rail through the PDNS process. Apply for changes to Sectional Running Times as appropriate.
Analysis of the Network Rail T22 Statement and production of the Informed Traveler T18 Bid, ensuring that Customer aspirations are met wherever possible subject to route availability. Check T14 Informed Traveler Offer and resolve any issues with the Network Rail Informed Traveler team prior to T12 Upload to TRUST.
Progress any agreed late notice possessions by Network Rail, informing the Commercial Contracts team of any impact on Customer services.
Produce the PDNS Statement to Network Rail ensuring Colas Rail's existing WTT paths are protected and any changes (including RSB paths) are included into the relevant Working Timetable.
Undertake weekly WON Check to ensure all disruption by Network Rail Engineering Work is accounted for each week.
Compile the 6-Week EAS Outlook Summary to Customers & Colas Resource Planners. Compile Internal Weekly Engineering T1 advice.
Compile Customer Train Plans and ensure these are communicated clearly and in a timely manner to the Resource Team/Control and Commercial Departments.
Record Track Access charges to Train flows.
As you will expect the organisation may change from time to time and you will be expected to meet the operational requirements.
Any other reasonable duties as required from time to time.
