We are seeking a Traffic Modeller with post qualification experience in local traffic modelling and analysis to join our a thriving Exeter office offering multi-disciplinary design and planning capability. We collaborate across our south of England teams to deliver exciting projects for clients including Cornwall Council, Cardiff City Council, Highways England, and HS2.
The role will suit individuals wanting to take the next step in their career and who share our enthusiasm to support our expanding workload and clients.
Carry out traffic analysis and produce technical reports
Attend internal and external project briefings to gain an overview of projects and understanding role within the project
Appoint, monitor and manage sub-consultants where necessary for the production of required data/information
Supervise and guide junior team members
Assist in the preparation of detailed client briefs or fee proposals for manager approval and contribute to major bids
Establish strong working relationships with other disciplines within AECOM and external organisations where required
Undertake Health & Safety duties including ensuring a safe and healthy working environment and fulfilling all responsibilities for health and safety in design
Demonstrable experience of applying at least 2 of, VISSIM, Paramics, LINSIG, Transyt on projects
Ability to interrogate modelling outputs and assess scheme benefits
Good numerical and analytical skills
Good report writing skills
Knowledge of data collection requirements and techniques
Demonstrate understanding of Health and Safety including CDM responsibilities
Proficient user of MS Excel and Word
* Degree or Master qualification in an analytical subject such as: Engineering, Mathematics or Geography or equivalent
