We are looking to enhance and grow our Streets team with individuals that share our enthusiasm and determination to deliver Traffic and Local & Urban Roads schemes. This Streets team is located in Croydon and forms part of the National Roads team which has an established track record of successfully delivering traffic engineering projects.
Our Streets team is involved in a number of high-profile projects with a variety of clients in the UK. A selection of our current and recent projects includes:
Southwark Highways and Professional Services Contract
Thames Tideway Tunnel – Highway Layout and Traffic Management Design
Royal Borough of Greenwich – Town Centre Improvement
Central Bedfordshire Council – Station Interchange, Traffic Calming and Cycling schemes
Oxfordshire County Council – Housing Infrastructure Fund programme
Transport for London – Traffic Modelling
Undertaking traffic engineering design in either scoping, outline or detailed design
Assisting in work delegation and co-ordination to graduates and technicians
Produce deliverables to a high standard of quality against agreed timescales
Undertaking of Health & Safety duties and fulfilling CDM designer responsibilities
Regularly communicate with the Senior / Principal Engineer on project progress
Your skills profile should have a good mixture of the following :
Demonstrate knowledge and some experience of developing scoping, preliminary and detailed design solutions to traffic engineering problems
Knowledge or awareness of cycling design, traffic calming, junction design, and footway and carriageway renewal design
Knowledge of local and national design standards including, but not limited to; TSRGD, Manual for Streets and Traffic Signs Manual
Demonstrate understanding of Health and Safety including CDM responsibilities
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office applications
* B.Sc, BEng or MEng degree in Engineering, Mathematics or other spatial or numerical subject or HND in Civil Engineering
