Position Description

Are you experienced in Information Security Threat Intelligence, with a passion for leading people, and looking for a new role in a growing team – fantastic, we have something that might pique your interest!

At Allianz, we are at an exciting and pivotal moment following the acquisition of the LV= General Insurance Group and the General Insurance division of Legal & General, elevating us to the second biggest general insurer in the UK. As part of this growth, we are continuing to invest in Information Security, and as such, we are now looking for talented, ambitious, and passionate Information Security professionals to join us on our journey to build a ‘Best in Industry’ team which sets the gold standard within the Allianz Group.

As the Threat Intelligence Manager you will report directly to the CISO and build a small but perfectly formed team that is responsible for threat management, threat hunting, and security engineering across Allianz Insurance and LV= GI

As a member of the Allianz UK Information Security function, you will play a key part in keeping Allianz safe and secure, as well as having access to our training and development opportunities, and exposure to the Allianz Group frameworks, expertise, and global opportunities that come with working for the world’s 45th largest organisation.

The role will be based in either Guildford or Bournemouth (travel between the two may be required)

Responsibilities

The Threat Intelligence Manager will build and then manage a team of threat specialists, responsible for the following:

* Defining, implementing, and managing the threat model for Allianz Insurance and LV= GI
* Identification and management of threats to the Allianz UK group of businesses
* Building and maintaining threat intelligence services and capabilities with external parties
* Developing a peer-to-peer threat intelligence model with other Allianz businesses globally
* Identifying and implementing required improvements, be it locally in the UK or working closely with Group to influence the design and outcomes form centralised services
* Partner with Detect and Response (incident response) team to manage the threat lifecycle

Skills & Experience

The following demonstrable experience is required:
• Experience of threat intelligence role (preferably in financial services organisations)
• Analytical problem-solving skills including the ability to identify trends and patterns in data
• Organizational and cross-functional communications skills to disseminate and present findings to key stakeholders
• Familiarity with risk scoring and threat analysis tools
• Experience with security tools and services (i.e threat feeds, user and behaviour analytics, or DLP)
It would be beneficial to have the following skills and qualifications:
• A recognized security and cloud specific certifications, e.g., CCSP, SSCP, CISSP, CCSK
