Job Description

The Cyber solutions division of Northrop Grumman are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join our rapidly growing team based in London. Working on high profile programmes within an Agile framework, deploying mission critical software products. Automation testing experience is preferred but not essential, however the successful candidate must be willing to up-skill where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities: Devise and Deploy Test capability to support mission critical solutions within an Scrum Team Facilitate transition to automated Integration & Testing solutions to reduce capability time-to-market Identify gaps and opportunity to grow Test Automation capability to ensure coverage efficiency

Person Specification:

Essential Criteria: Knowledge of SDLC & STLC ideally within an Agile/ Scrum framework Good understanding of the Systems Engineering V-model Self-motivated, proactive, with an aptitude to learn new technologies rapidly and able to collaborate well with cross-functional teams Good problem-solving, interpersonal, analytical, planning and written/verbal communication skills Working knowledge of relevant Test utilities/tools such as ALM, QC, MTM, TestLink, TestRail, Zephyr, etc Understanding of Defect Tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc ISTQB Certified Tester, Foundation Level

Desirable Criteria: Experience in server/ platform Automation Deployment such as Puppet, Chef, Octopus, etc Experience in Continuous Integration Technologies such as Jenkins, Maven, Bamboo, etc Experience in compiled software languages such as Java, C, C++, C#, Go, etc Experience in both Linux and Windows systems Understanding of authoring Test Automation documentation and Test Automation principles in a fast-paced dynamic Engineering environment Understanding Requirements in relation to Test Automation Knowledge of scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Perl, Bash, Rest, MySQL, etc Understanding of Software Configuration Management tools such as Git, Stash, SVN, etc Knowledge of Agile Development, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behaviour Driven Development (BDD), Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) & DevOps techniques and their differences Understanding of Cloud/Smart Data Technologies such as Hadoop, Accumulo, Spark, Mongo, Elastic Search, etc iSQI Certified Agile Tester (CAT) Knowledge of SAFe methodology and practices
