About the role

Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Technologies Trainer to join our Rail team to work in Derby.

Role Purpose:

* Omnicom Balfour Beatty produces engineering software and products for the railway industry. A vacancy has arisen for a Technologies Trainer;
* The role is to provide training, update of user manuals, course material and occasional technical support cover to the companys external and internal customers.

What you'll be doing

As a Technologies Trainer you will:

* Carry out customer training at Derby office and at other locations when required
(including occasionally overseas);
* Carry out customer training via Webex;
* Develop new courses and update existing courses to keep up to date with
software/hardware changes;
* Publicise training and answer customer queries about training;
* Train course administration and record keeping;
* Write and update user manuals;
* Occasional technical support cover;
* Deal with customer queries by email and telephone;
* Receive full training on the software and products for which you will be delivering training and giving technical support.

Who we're looking for

Personal Qualities and Experience:

* Training delivery experience;
* Experience in developing course materials;
* Good written skills;
* Good communication skills;
* Good organisational and administration skills;
* Attention to detail;
* Good team-working skills;
* Ability to grasp & explain clearly technical engineering concepts;
* High level of computer literacy;
* Keen and quick to learn new software;
* Preferably TAP Certified.
