are currently seeking a Technical Sales Consultant (TSC) to support our Process
Automation (PA) business unit within the Northern Europe and Sub Sharan Africa
region ( NESSA ).
within a pre-sales environment, as part of our “Customer Success Team “, the
position is responsible for delivering high quality technical solutions to
drive sustainable growth within PA. You will
be experienced in Process Control & Safety and highly knowledgeable in both
existing and new technologies across a broad range of market sectors. Proven in
designing and modernising Safety systems., you’ll utilise your sales and
technical expertise to interpret customers business drivers and requirements;
generating solutions, in line with the agreed sales strategy; for Brownfield and
Greenfield opportunities, spanning upgrades, expansions and migrations as well
as high profile, complex opportunities.
Hold customer facing discussions; understand
their business drivers, technical issues & requirements, working both
independently and with Account Managers.
Interpret customer requirements, then design
safety solutions that maximise profitability and add value for the customer: Articulate
the same to the customer as well as internal SE stakeholders, liaising with other
SE business Units and partner organisations, as required
In addition, demonstrate commercial awareness and assist in the development of
sales strategies, to support pre sales activity throughout the opportunity qualification,
influence and development process.
* Assume accountability for all architectural
solutions to support subsequent technical tender content; working collaboratively
with Sales, Tendering and Engineering teams to meet required deadlines
associated with multiple simultaneous opportunities
Maintain knowledge of current technologies and build an in depth
understanding of new Process Automation product releases; communicating value
creation and compelling vision, to inspire and motivate customers as well
as internal teams.
* Focus on Customer – Develops a solid understanding
of customer requirements, recognises the importance of resolving customer
issues and prioritises the external customer over internal matters.
Demonstrates strong integrity and a sense of accountability; goes the
* Customer Application Knowledge - Provides viable, value-engineered options and design solutions to
meet customer needs. Recommends customer solutions to resolve complex
issues. Resolves post sale issues and applies total Schneider Electric

& technologies and their associated customer application. Serves as peer expert for proposal questions including
complex technical issues.

* Experience in Greenfield and Brownfield
process control solutions is required, with a working knowledge of Distributed
Control Systems, ideally Foxboro DCS and most critically, Safety systems,
* A background within Oil & Gas, Power, Pharmaceutical, Food
& Beverage or Metals, Mining & Minerals is advantageous.
