JOB TITLE Programme Manager - Technical

REPORTS TO Global Director – Technical/Program Management

DEPARTMENT Engineering Services

JOB PURPOSE : Programme Manager for Engineering Services works as part of a team to lead programme activities associated with the design and certification of large scale aircraft interior product or integration/modification programmes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Focal point for the company with the customer.
Complete programme ownership from award to final delivery for delivery, quality and financial control
Identify and manage identified programme risks to minimize impact to the programme
Lead internal project teams to execute the full spectrum of the programme
Coordinate internal activities to ensure major milestones are progressed in line with the programme requirements
Coordinate and lead major milestone meetings with customer (ITCM, PDR, CDR, FAI) and control resulting minutes and actions
Portray the Customers’ expectations and requirements to the Engineering team to ensure alignment
Provide weekly status updates, milestone schedule and risk analysis summary
Initiate pro-active correspondence to communicate programme status, on-going financial viability and identification of key issues to senior management
Participate in and support pricing negotiations and changes with customers and communicate requirements
Manage Customer Changes and follow up on change related costs and supporting proposals for both commercial and technical scope of work deviations
Initiate invoicing of project payments and follow-up on payment as required

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Qualification in Programme Management or equivalent preferred
Engineering background, ideally within the aerospace industry
Minimum 5 years of applicable experience required (aerospace integration experience desired)
Proficient in all MS Office applications required
Experience in MS Project required
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, sometimes at short notice

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum BS Degree and/or at least 10 years' experience in a related commercial/military aerospace field

REMARKS:
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, sometimes at short notice
Able to work independently without high levels of supervision (self-motivated)
