We are currently looking for an approachable and committed Technical Manager/Technical Director to join our team. This opportunity requires an individual to develop and deliver transactional focused environmental due diligence and compliance services to our existing client base and to develop our services within London and wider markets.You will be supported by the existing due diligence team, and will contribute to existing project work within the UK market.

Key responsibilities include:

Maintaining and developing positive strong client relations as you look to grow our service offering. You'll assist in developing a London strategic plan as part of our Sweco UK due diligence strategy.

Acting as the key project director you will co-ordinate multi-disciplinary advice for projects, ensuring they are meet expectations in terms of time, budget and quality.

* You will co-ordinate specialist multidisciplinary advice for projects to time, quality and budget limits

* You’ll influence and engender support from colleagues across different disciplines and contribute to harnessing the wider technical skills of the engineering business to create dynamic and effective solutions for our clients.

* You’ll be key in leading the production of client proposals/bids/ pitches to further develop our business portfolio.

* Enjoy developing and nurturing new and existing client relationships that will form positive relationships with key clients to support future opportunities

As a key advisor you’ll prepare clear, concise well written reports to clients, advising on the key transaction related environmental or technical issues.

Qualifications Required:

Qualified to degree level, preferably to MSc level in a relevant environmental science. Ideally you will be Chartered with an appropriate professional body.

Experience Required

You will have:

* Experience of project delivery ideally across a range of industry sectors. You will have the gravitas and standing commensurate with leadership position, and an existing client-following gained from successful project delivery.

* Evidence of positive feedback form advising corporates and investors on environmental compliance issues

* Proven expertise in client management, client development and new business development.

* Significant previous experience of providing project governance on projects

* Proven experience in the management of projects including programming, resourcing and monitoring

* Proven ability in the leadership and motivation of individuals and teams

* Full Clean Driving Licence

Qualities Required:

* A self-starter able to work on own initiative and seek assistance when required, with a track record of delivering and winning high quality work to investors and corporates

* Good problem solving/contingency planning skills with ability to find quick, creative and practical solutions

* Able to work collaboratively with others to form strong positive working relationships with colleagues, clients and contractors

* Project a professional image to clients and colleagues

* Demonstrate pride in work, through accurate timely delivery

* Have good communication skills

* Be well-organised and systematic in your approach to ensure timely delivery of work
