We are currently looking for an Asset Management Technical Author to join our team in Royston. The successful candidate will play a key role in the production of a comprehensive Asset Management System (AMS) for a large project, coordinating with the appropriate teams as necessary to ensure a holistic approach for asset management. The role holder will be responsible for developing standards for maintenance routines for new capital assets, ensuring assets are correctly structured within the CMMS, and ensuring all project documentation is provided for full handover to the Maintenance team upon project completion. In addition, you will also be required to develop AMS handover criteria for new capital projects including the purchase and storage of critical spares.

Key responsibilities

*

Identify and list safety critical assets as part of project plant information handover

*

Develop systems to ensure critical information is identified and made available to maintenance

*

Provide information to ensure PPM routines are introduced in accordance with manufacturers recommendations for all relevant project assets

*

Develop handover terms for plant asset information and facilitate successful handover of project

*

Liaise with the maintenance team and functional experts to ensure details of PPMs are understood and are achievable

*

Liaise and communicate with key stakeholders ensuring all parties understand their accountabilities for delivering plant asset information prior to project handover

*

Fully support the Launch Team to ensure Launch readiness is a success.

*

Liaise with EHS and Operations to ensure the equipment maintenance requirements from process hazard reviews are addressed

*

Ensure that any decommissioned assets have been retired in the system and information is archived

*

Develop a system for identifying spare parts requirements for key existing/new assets

*

Confirm all relevant asset management documentation is made available for storage in relevant systems

*

Work as part of Launch team to provide scoping and cost estimation of future asset replacement projects.

Are you the ideal candidate?

You will have:

*

Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent

*

Process mechanical, electrical/controls or civils bias

*

Good understanding of maintenance techniques and their application

*

Demonstrable experience in a similar role

*

Knowledge of Asset Management Systems

*

Previous Project Management experience

*

Relevant experience within refining/process/chemical manufacturing industry

*

Familiarity with Hazard study methodology and stages

*

Experience with document control and document management systems is desirable

*

Due to the nature of this role applicants must be non-smokers and have been free from nicotine products for at least three months
