Position Title Technical Assistant

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking Technical Assistant, to join our Chesterfield Traffic Engineering team. The role will assist with general administrative duties and project support including filing, photocopying working on AutoCAD to assist with various sketches. This role may include some site work such as assisting with surveys, inspections and the control of routine project activities.

Job Duties:

*

General office duties: filing, photocopying, binding etc

*

Maintaining project data information (Registers, issue schedules etc.)

*

Assistance with inspections and surveys

*

Scanning and archiving historic scheme files

*

Common filing duties to comply with Quality procedures (Document Control)

*

Preparing Minutes of Meetings.

Minimum Requirements

*

A general understanding of computer programs such as Microsoft Office (i.e. Word and Excel)

*

Ability to work well within a team.

*

It is desirable, but not essential for the preferred candidate to have a full Clean UK driving licence.

*

The work will occasionally require the candidate to assist with site work.

*

Familiar with procedures and activities within a highways and traffic engineering team.

*

Knowledge of AUTOCAD and ability to prepare simple sketches and drawings.

Preferred Qualifications

* GCSE’s (3 grade C’s or above)
