Purpose and Responsibilities of the Role

The effective delivery of Vendor Payments services within the Accounts Payable Function which reports directly into the Shared Service Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for up to 10 Amey Colleagues

This is a full time permanent role based at the Matchworks in Liverpool

Responsibilities

· Managing all aspects of vendor payments

· Query Management regarding payments and exception processing

· Liaising with internal stakeholders across all sites and supporting the wider Accounts Payable function

· Undertake other duties as requested to support the PTP function

· Conduct regular 121s with the team

Role Specific Responsibilities

· Team Management

· Operating to and within agreed SLAs/OLAs

· Process improvement

· Reporting of results

· Liaison with business & Suppliers

· Work closely with key stakeholders e.g. Amey Procurement

Person Requirements & Professional Profile

Qualifications

· Studying towards AAT considered an advantage.

· Demonstrable experience in leading Accounts Payable teams considered an advantage

Skills

· Good process mind set

· Must be able to understand the importance of defining and applying internal controls

Experience

· Previous experience as a Team Leader in an Accounts Payable function in a large and diverse organisation

· A leader, able to inspire & direct teams

Technical competencies

· Hands-on experience in the relevant SAP Modules

· Hands-on experience in MS-Office applications (Word, Excel (including vlookups & pivot tables), PowerPoint)
