About the Role

As one of the world’s leading engineering, professional services and technical consultancy firms, at WSP, we’re passionate about the big questions. And big answers, naturally. For us that’s all about reaching beyond the expected to do work that’ll make a profound impact felt long into the future.

As a systems integration consultant, you will be undertaking a role in delivering systems integration activities primarily across major UK Rail projects. You will be a systems thinker, ideally with knowledge of rail and an understanding of the project lifecycle. Experience outside of the rail industry is also considered. We are looking for problem-solvers who can help us to evolve, improve, modernise and excel in delivering systems integration services to our current and future clients.

You will be able to work as part of a wider project team, potentially leading tasks as part of a team of systems engineers and / or working as under direction of a Principal engineer to meet our client needs on projects. You will be expected to be able to execute a defined systems integration approach on projects, and contributing to engagement with clients to obtain agreement on defined plans.

We are looking for early career professionals with the ability and desire to make a difference, who can pro-actively support systems integration activities, collaborating with and promoting the adoption of systems integration to existing and potential clients. We are after individuals who have the desire to develop in their careers to be future technical, project and / or business leaders in Systems Integration Consultancy. Potential candidates will embrace turning challenges in to opportunities while being held accountable to standards beyond the norm.

A typical week would include:

* Supporting systems integration activities or teams on major rail projects

* Supporting systems integration subject matter expert consultancy across specific systems engineering disciplines

* Supporting the scoping, planning and implementing systems integration activities

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

* A degree in relevant engineering or management discipline

* Working towards Chartered status of a relevant professional body

* Post degree experience in delivering systems integration in a rail environment, and/or equivalent sector desirable

* Desirable experience in:

* Requirements capture, analysis, management and V&V

* interface identification, control and management

* system architecture development and application to design projects

* Benefits release planning, defining and managing capability migration

* Desirable experience in client facing roles
