System Validation & Test Engineer

Denmark has set an ambitious and radical goal - to upgrading the totality of its mainline network. Alstom is there to set their ambition to life and has started the implementation of the state-of-the-art ERTMS level 2 baseline 3 signalling technology, to the trackside and onboard the fleets. This technology is stable and secure, and it will drastically improve the passenger experience by reducing the number of delays and increasing transport capacity
We are currently looking for a System Validation & Test Engineer to be a member of the Verification and Validation team in Copenhagen
Main tasks and responsibilities

* Define and review test procedures, setting up relevant acceptance criteria against functional requirements and operational context descriptions
* Define regression test strategies for the incremental project deliveries by analyzing the impact of software/data modifications on the system functionalities
* Support the deployment of the test environments and the implementation of test scripts
* Run the in-house system integration and validation tests on the system test environment in the customer laboratory
* Interface customer for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities
* Analyze test results (based on observations collected during the test and the evaluation of logs collected from the equipment under test)
* Defect reporting and follow-up with designers responsible for the different sub-systems
Skills and education

A bachelor or master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science is mandatory. We also require 3 to 5 years in designing or testing of railway signaling systems. It is also desirable that the candidate have training- or specific experience within railway, such as Traffic Management System (TMS) or European Train Control System (ETCS)
The test environments are running on complex IT installations so knowledge or relevant experience of Web-based applications (XML, WSDL, SOAP over HTTP protocol), Virtualization and Hypervisors (Hyper-V, VMWare), Systems administration in Windows and/or Linux and/or Networking principles based on Cisco will be considered a plus
It is a requirement to be fluent in English, and preferably speak a Scandinavian language
Qualities we are looking for is someone that have good communication skills and are rigor, reliable, proactive and analytical
