You’ll be working under the Special Vehicle Operation (SVO) function, who’s vision are to significantly increase model line profits through the provision of ultimate luxury and performance vehicles with specialised and first to market innovative features. The purpose of this role is to give guidance and direction on propulsion systems selection for each vehicle in the SVO product portfolio.
In your new role as SST & Roll Control Senior Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the design, development, testing and introduction of the Suspension System Components (Springs, Dampers, Roll Bars) to support a unique SVO specific suspension system to meet the SVO Cycle Plan. Your responsibilities include ensuring the content is properly specified, the supplier delivers against this specification and that the delivered system is fully verified for inclusion on a vehicle program meeting the programme requirements for quality, cost and time.
You’ll work closely with the Core Chassis teams to ensure continued development of the SVO Chassis team.
As we continue to expand across the world, you’ll continue to expand as part of this growing department. In addition you’ll, have the opportunity to progress and gain wider view of the vehicle design and assembly covering all architectures.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills, you’ll have the ability to manage senior stakeholders. You’ll have proven technical knowledge and 5 years automotive engineering experience of Design and Development of Suspension systems and components. As well as this you’ll have experience of planning, co-ordination, delivery and reporting of requirements to support the Cycle Plan programmes using Product Creation Delivery System (PCDS) principles.
To achieve success in your new role, you will have:
* Experience of delivering technical products through a team, utilising strong people management skills
* Experience of delivering projects in an automotive or manufacturing environment
* Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred
