We are looking for a Supervisor to be based at our office in Purland Road, Thamesmead. The purpose will be to deliver reactive works on our Bexley Contract. The role is contract critical to ensure works are delivered safely and in accordance with agreed specification. Role Responsibility Specific responsibilities include: * Ensuring all projects/sites comply with company health, safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures and all legislative requirements. * Maximising profit and commercial returns on each project by understanding of the Commercial/pricing strategy. * Defining overall team workload, planning and allocating day-to-day work priorities and allocation of manpower for daily tasks * Building effective relationships with the client * Effective management, coaching and development of site personnel * Reviewing performance of tasks completed and implementing lessons learnt The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a similar working environment and preferably of works within the Highways sector. They will also: * Have service Technical Knowledge * Have knowledge of Health and Safety-IOSH * Be IT Literate, Work, Excel, Project and PowerPoint * Have proven Supervisory Experience * Have the ability to work to tight deadlines * Have effective communication skills * Have a full UK Driving Licence Qualifications/ Experience: * Construction Qualification – NVQ 3 or similar * CSCS Qualification * SMSTS/SSSTS/IOSH * Supervisory experience is required. * Proven experience within the Civil Engineering industry, preferably of works delivery within Highways sector Why Tarmac At Tarmac we are passionate that our workforce reflects the communities where we operate.
