COWI UK provide interns with a taste of a career as a Civil Engineer, by placing them into projects to gain valuable experience. Incorporating interns into site and office groups for the summer creates an environment where everyone, from the Directors to Graduate engineers, is ready to share their professional experience and work together as a team.

MAINTAINING THE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an Intern for eight weeks during the 2020 summer holiday, to work in the Bridge Business Line in our Bristol office.

YOUR PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS CREATE VALUE

You have completed a minimum 2 years of study on a master's degree in Civil Engineering with some design coursework in either concrete or steel is preferable.

Furthermore, you can recognise yourself in the following statements:

* Basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals.

* Able to work in a team environment effectively.

* Good written & verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate succinctly and effectively.

* Good understanding of English.

* Good interpersonal, planning, documentation, organization, and problem-solving skills.

* A logical and analytical thinker.

* Evidence of research and information gathering skills.

* An Interest in Bridge Engineering.
