We are currently recruiting a Structured Cabling Technical Supervisor to successfully plan and control day-to-day activities in support of customer projects, in order to deliver them to the time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction objectives as defined by the Project Manager. In addition to this, the Structured Cabling Supervisor will supervise field-based staff and subcontractors as required.

You will have experience of the installation and fault finding of Structured and Voice Cabling systems and be fully conversant with the setup and operation of Fluke Analysers. You will also have experience of leading/ supervising engineers.

This role is based on military premises and supports other such sites, therefore security clearance is a requirement of employment if not held already.

Responsibilities

You will:

* To provide leadership for the project delivery team and to maximise the potential of the team and the individuals within.
* Deliver technical solutions to both internal and external customers and be responsible for day-to-day management of regional engineer teams including internal resource and Service Partners.
* Ensure all works meet and exceed client expectations, as we as the requirements to meet/ exceed international standards and manufacturers installation guideline systems.
* Ensuring design and installation meets internal and client specifications and statutory requirements
* Provide support with the daily engagement of the field based Solution Engineers
* Have evident experience of the installation of Structured and Voice Cabling Systems
* Be fully conversant with the setup and operation of Fluke Analysers
* Work from construction drawings
* Support with Health & Safety (H&S) requirements, equipment and tooling, engage in recruitment and month end administration processing
* Help in the training and development plans of engineers and conduct performance reviews
* Ensure customer satisfaction and engagement is maintained
* Develop engineer training plan to ensure the team are equipped to deliver against current and forecast business needs.

UKATA (CAT A) Asbestos Awareness - Desirable

* Manual Handling
* Working at Height
* Evident experience with Electronic IP Security Systems - (CCTV, Access Control & Intruder Alarm) - Desirable
* Understanding of National Security Inspectorate (NSI) process and requirements related to electronic security systems - Desirable
* IOSH Working Safely - Desirable
* PASMA/IPAF - Desirable
* Cerified Network Infrastructure Technician (CNIT) Accreditation - Desirable
* NACCOSSS - NSI Certification - Desirable
* Radio Frequency (RF) Awareness - Desirable
