A Solution Consultant is required to look after the technical element of solution sales within SSE Enterprise Telecoms; supporting sales productivity and targets by leading on the technical elements in bespoke fibre connectivity solution designs, also including Unified Communications, Cloud and WAN/LAN solutions.
The Solution Consultant will work with Sales and Engineering departments to ensure proposals include cost effective solutions that accurately address customer needs. Your responsibilities will extend to ensuring optimal cost input on all network designs and securing collaboration from all necessary solution stakeholders, internally and externally, including managing supplier responses to agreed timescales.
You will develop and maintain an exceptional working knowledge of key competitor offerings and of latest technological developments within the industry.
Providing coaching and development to other team members, you will enhance their product knowledge and technical acumen and you will build solid peer to peer relationships within the account base to ensure high customer satisfaction ratings are met in line with the company values.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have a proven and demonstrable track record in pre-sales/sales engineering and solution sales. You should have the ability to engage at senior level within designated accounts and have a good knowledge of Fibre Infrastructure deployments and Layer 1-7 networking protocols including WAN & LAN technologies - Fibre, Ethernet, MPLS, Optical, IP Networking and Cloud communications.
You will have a high level of computer literacy and have excellent attention to detail, communication, presentation and numeracy skills. You should demonstrate an understanding of voice, data, unified communications, cloud and managed network services and understand next generation networking technologies. Industry certifications such as MEF, CECP, C.O.N.E and CCNA are desirable.
You should be customer focused with positive influencing skills and be able to work on multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment
You will have a successful track record in the telecommunications arena with extensive experience with a technical consulting role, together with demonstrable track record in designing complex enterprise solutions
