About the role
We have a new and exciting opportunity to join Virgin Media Business as a Solution Architect. Within this role, you will play a pivotal part in the success of our Solutions Design team, by means of providing top-tier solutions that not only meet customer requirements but will also improve the new product creation process at the heart of all our solutions.
As our environment continues to evolve you will also support the growth of the team, our processes and our designs by ensuring feedback is both provided and acted upon, and to drive through any process improvements to conclusion.

As one of our highly valued Solution Architects, you can expect to take a lead in defining technical solutions on behalf of our clients, detailing and agreeing designs and process considerations, collating costs and assessing the technical risk on a per project basis. This may also involve supporting product management in the build phase, engaging with vendors and providing support to our testing teams. Crafting the future of our solutions will also be key, by way of making recommendations to the product team regarding new features that need to be developed on our platform and evaluating new technology. On occasions, you may also be tasked with offering technical consultancy to our Pre-Sales team through the creation of solution and technical sales material.
The must haves
Knowledge and consistent record of developing multi-technology, managed-service solutions in large or sophisticated deal scenarios.
Knowledge and experience of Local Area Network (LAN) and Software-Defined Network (SDN) technologies.
Demonstrable experience designing platform solutions through the utilisation of a broad range of Cisco products, platforms and applications.
A proven history of building meaningful, collaborative partner relationships, across all levels of seniority – we want to see your keenness to engage great team play with a diverse variety of people!
Other stuff we’re looking for
Professional accreditations in relevant fields, which could include CCDA/CCNA/CCNP or equivalent.
