Role and Responsibilities
Samsung is a success and high quality brand. We take pride in introducing over 100 new mobile-devices per year. All projects go through rigorous testing cycle before they are released to the market and hit yet another sales record.
As a Field Test Specialist you will be a part of the success and you will have direct impact on Samsung’s success and quality of our products.
The main tasks you are expected to perform include:
Software QA functional testing of core functions of DUT
Application based testing.
Defect Management. Ensuring issues are raised and resolved efficiently
Quality assurance "end user" testing on live networks.
Provide informed feedback on interface usability and phone design concept.
Individual management of test schedule / projects assigned.
Contributing to regular progress and test reports.
Skills and Experience:
5 + Years Engineering background in electronics and telecommunications field will be an advantage (recommended, not mandatory).
Experience with defect management
Familiar with UK Network infrastructure
Ideally experience with Agile
Interoperability testing with network operators and SIM Card manufacturers.
Strong PC skills (especially MS Office)
Excellent knowledge in GSM-UMTS-LTE Networks and applications infrastructure
A good understanding of documentation requirements.
Skills and Qualifications
Ability to self manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
Keeping abreast of new features and techniques of the mobile devices and network.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Good presentation skills for introduction of new model.
Capable of making decisions, working independently and organizing own workload.
A competent level of presentation, communication and planning skills.
Approachable, flexible, team orientated and self-assertive where required.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
