As the Software Engineer in an Enablement function, you will build a sense of community, partnership, knowledge and ownership across our entire engineering community. Always be observing and improving the training, tools, documentation, information, and processes used by the team to identify shortfalls to build or adjust solutions You will act as an advocate for our engineering teams to lead, design and implement outreach programs for training, interactive forums and events. You will be responsible for incubating engineering efficiency solutions and implement solutions that will positively transform how we delivery software solutions to our business. You will provide transparency into our book of work and collaborate across multiple lines-of-business to identify areas of opportunity, define priorities and deliver results. You will challenge the status quo and create a culture of individual continuous learning and improvement.

Ability to take an entrepreneurial approach to define and deliver solutions to enable our engineering community to more quickly deliver high quality business results and improve overall engineer satisfaction

Partnership with the engineering community and ability to design, plan and execute hands-on training sessions, regular interactive forums, code-a-thons and various events to motivate and empower engineers

*

Quality and effectiveness of content created and published on technology primers, best practices and guidelines

The AWM Architecture and Engineering group serves all aspects of the business, providing premier architecture solutions and services used as the foundation for technology development. We focus on enabling innovation, rapid execution and empowering the engineering teams across AWM. We develop architectural standard methodologies, core services and lead the development and adoption of Hybrid Cloud solutions using Cloud-native architectures, and platforms.

Qualifications:

Working experience demonstrating progressive career covering
technical and business experience. e.g. design/implementation/consulting
experience of large-scale, transformation projects

*

Ability to solve
both technical and non-technical problems independently and deliver solutions
to others

*

Proven ability to
lead and manage without direct authority

*

Ability to break
down complex ideas into simple, easily digestible concepts in any number of
learning modalities

*

Strong knowledge and hands on experience with Design Thinking
Framework and Best Practices

*

Detailed knowledge of technology architecture principals and
software development practices and tools.

*

Prior experience with
digital transformation is strongly desired

*

Prior experience in software
architecture and design is a plus

*
Proven background in Design Thinking Principles

*
Extensive experience with User-Centric Design Principles

*
Familiarity with Machine Learning frameworks is an advantage.

*

Advocate of DevOps and Agile principles and values and expertise
working in DevOps/Agile project environment with the ability to operate
development and discussion forums through a deep understanding of current
application development tools and techniques as they relate to Cloud native
development and DevOps.

*

Experience using and writing architectural patterns, standard
methodologies, and guidelines for enterprise applications, Tech Primers.

*

A fundamental desire and focus on minimizing overhead and
complexity while empowering and enabling self-managing and agile delivery.

*

Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
are essential, as are strong diplomatic skills and the ability to manage
multiple stakeholder groups.

*

Contributions to open source technologies and building development
communities across organizations.

*

Empathy for delivery teams and a passion for improving both
productivity and experience for engineering teams.

*

Lead and connect with other development teams and incubate
solutions in partnership, then harvest and propagate after successful outcome.

*

Promote best practices and support and guide teams and act as
their advocates to the centralized teams.
