a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into
creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You’ll join
an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the
design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming
that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You’ll be
tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the
progress of what’s being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance
of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of
all, you’ll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with
our global team of technologists from all over the world.
role requires a passionate and highly technical individual. You will be a member of the Engineer
Experience Team, which forms part of the Core Engineering Organisation, within
the Chief Technology Office (CTO). This team focuses on reducing friction /
improving the end-to-end experience for our engineers at JPMorgan Chase &
will be responsible for two key tools as part of this role, one is an
innovative site that was developed in house to bring transparency and drive
resolution of the friction our Engineers face today. The second aspect is a new take on knowledge
management within the firm, in an interactive and pictorial way we will present
information for how the SDLC process at JPMC works and will start to tackle the
fragmentation of information we have today.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
Knowledge of the JPMC SLDC tooling (or industry accepted equivalent e.g. Jenkins, Spinnaker, etc)
Able to work independently, but seek guidance when required
This role is working within a team who are driving the strategy for how we develop software at JPM – therefore a candidate needs to have a true passion for technology
