What SPM Needs:

SPM Production Engineering team is looking for an ambitious, talented, energetic, and self-motivated software developer for Subscription Plan Management Production support. Our team is a driven development organization, developing the applications that support all Subscription Billing and Customer engagement to the Cloud.

In this role, you will be immersed in and exposed to complex systems and their integration as Oracle cloud subscription data travels to multiple systems from its inception. Your role is to enable internal and external customers to manage the lifecycle of their cloud subscriptions. The Subscription Plan Management (SPM) application processes the majority of the Oracle cloud subscription revenue.

You will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying services, monitoring complex systems, managing high volume transactions, and their integration with other applications. You'll be able to identify problems before they occur, while also guiding junior developers globally. The ideal candidate is an experienced and proven hands-on developer using micro-services and Java to release high-quality software products following continuous integration and deployment.

Requirements:

* 3-7+ years of experience in software development and coding in Object-Oriented languages (Java)

* Experience building Cloud Applications

* Experience working with Apache Kafka, micro-services, and building performance-driven APIs

* Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture

* Excellent knowledge of Unified Modelling Language (UML) and other modeling methods

* Experience delivering features with continuous integration (CI/CD) and Agile methodology

* Knowledge of deploying Cloud Applications from local development thru UAT and production preferred

* Experience with troubleshooting Java applications and analyzing JFRs, threaddump, heapdump and associated tools

* Development experience/exposure to PL/SQL and Oracle database

* Knowledge of Weblogic server administration and application deployment

* Experience with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and UI/UX design.

* Provide Level 1 and Level 2 functional support of the subscription billing/Usage and customer success platform for production support and testing as required.

* Able to interact with the business, Development, Solutions team, and provide production engineering support for related incidents/service requests.

* Solve complex problems related to infrastructure cloud services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence.

* Focus on the full stack of a collection of services and/or technology areas. Authority for end-to-end performance and operability.

* Understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services.

* Responsible for the design and delivery of the mission critical stack, with focus on security, resiliency, scale, and performance.

* Partner with development teams in defining & implementing improvements in service architecture.

* Articulate technical characteristics of services and technology areas and guide Development Teams to engineer and add premier capabilities to the Oracle Cloud portfolio.

* Demonstrates clear understanding of automation and orchestration principles.

* Act as ultimate escalation point for complex or critical issues that have not yet been documented as Standard Operating Procedures.

* Utilize deep understanding of service topology and their dependencies required to troubleshoot issues and define mitigations.

* Understand and explain the effect of product architecture decisions on distributed system

* BS or equivalent in computer science/engineering or relevant field. MS or equivalent in computer science/engineering will be desired.
