Job Description

The Cyber Solutions Division of Northrop Grumman are seeking talented Software Engineers at all levels to join our team in London, working within a rapidly growing environment.

You will work in small scrum teams to Agile principles, with very enthusiastic people, solving challenging and complex delivery problems to the business. For this position you must be able to hold and maintain UK Government clearances.

How you will make a difference

Outpacing the rapidly evolving cyber threat spectrum demands constant innovation Northrop Grumman has immediate opportunities for experienced software engineers to design, develop and maintain a suite of applications. Successful candidates will work within exciting and prominent programmes and be asked to support the team in Scrum/Agile development. Developers will perform software design, requirements analysis, conducting research & development on new software technologies.

Essential Criteria: Experience in software development using Java Experience in design, development, test and integration of quality software Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Desirable Criteria: Has an understanding of data governance, security and audit requirements Has an understanding/ experience of Hadoop, data structures and algorithms relevant to processing high volumes of data Experience in some of the following programming languages: Spark(Batch & Streaming) , SQL, HDFS, Soir, Scala Experience with or interest in Model Driven Architecture Experience in relational database technologies; such as Oracle 11g and MySQL Experience with various open source products, e.g. Apache Foundation products NiFi, and Python, Lucene index/ query strategies Experience of using Atlassian Jira/ IBM RTC suite, or similar product lifecycle software packages Experience of UK Government working practices
