Kier Places are recruiting for a Site Manager to join our passionate Capital Projects Team. With our diverse portfolio of projects, we are looking for an individual who has a passion for the project at hand whilst also being able to work as part of a closely knit team which has an opportunity to develop and control its own destiny. You will be working on a portfolio of projects predominantly involving the recladding of high-rise buildings, in which, by their nature, are safety critical works and involve significant fire and general safety risk, with typical project values between £2M and £9M, and of a construction nature. You will be joining a newly formed team specialising in this new workstream which has huge long-term growth opportunity, in which successful applicants will have a huge opportunity to grow and develop as this new workstream evolves.
Kier Places are recruiting now for a Site Manager in London to join our One Housing Group contract, where your role will be key to ensuring projects are safely delivered on time and to budget whilst achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
As a Site Manager, reporting directly to the Contract Manager, you will lead, manage and develop a high performing well-motivated team - through effective leadership and communication. Using your operational expertise, you’ll ensure risks are identified and mitigated whilst co-ordinating subcontractors and suppliers in a planned and controlled manner.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring that works are performed to our the highest standard and projects stay within agreed costs, whilst ensuring the projects comply with current health & safety legislations, codes of practice and building regulations are observed at all times by the contractor.
What do we need from you?
If you have extensive experience of a similar role within the social housing/decent homes maintenance sector, with good exposure to cladding & complex temporary works construction activities, then this could be the role for you. You should also have a proven track record of leading and inspiring teams to achievement, excellent communication, organisational and influencing skills.
