Role profile Job title Site Engineer Reports to Site Agent Department/Business stream Yorkshire Main purpose of the role Reporting to Site Agent, the Site Engineer will take ownership of the survey control for the project
and set out detailed works as per the contract drawings ensuring that checks are made on a regular
basis.

Main duties and responsibilities Key Accountability and Responsibilities  Promote the Barhale cardinal rules and establish safe working cultures and practices.  Offering technical advice on a construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople and operatives  Managing the site and parts of construction projects  Overseeing building work and ensuring the quality of the work  Setting out, levelling and surveying the site  Produce 2 week look ahead in conjunction with the Site Agent.  Produce site diaries and allocation sheets  Production of ITP check sheets in line with the ITP and specification.  Ensuring the plans, drawings and quantities are accurate for calculations  Supervising site security, health and safety  Organising and overseeing material and human resources.  Managing the design documents supplied by the client  Set out detailed works as per the contract drawings ensuring checks are carried out on a regular basis.  Liaising with the local authority to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws  Reporting progress and other updates back to clients  Planning the work efficiently and adapting to any setbacks or difficulties  Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at any time.  Ensure work is delivered defect/snag free Collaborative Working  To work collaboratively with the client and wider project delivery team ensuring effective and timely
communications, proactively managing the expectations of the client.

Audit and governance  Comply with the governance as set out by the client  Work with the wider team and client audit team to ensure all documentation are available for audits as
required.  Demonstrate compliance to ensure scores remain in the upper quartile. CF820-51 Version 4

structures and water.  Have some experience with AutoCAD Desirable  Temporary works Co-ordination Desirable Skills/Qualifications  Degree qualified in civil engineering or HNC or Desirable
equivalent in civil engineering as a minimum.

 Cable avoidance training Essential

 NEBOSH or IOSH Desirable Personal Qualities  Self-driven, results oriented with a positive Essential
