MWH Treatment is looking to strengthen their SHEQ Team with a SHEQ Management Systems – Principal Advisor for our @one Alliance (Anglian Water) joint venture framework.

The Anglian Water @one Alliance is a collaborative organization of consultants and contractors working together to deliver more than half of Anglian Waters capital investment programme. We will design and build around 800 schemes worth approximately £1.2billion. We design and construct water and water recycling (waste water) treatment centres that serve more than six million people in the East of England whilst maintaining and improving the water mains and the sewerage network in the region.

You will report directly to the Head of SHEQ and duties/responsibilities of the role will include:
• Overall coordination of the development, implementation and improvement of the necessary management systems for the alliance.
• Systems & compliance with relevant standards.
• Provide demonstrated leadership & commitment to @one alliance SHEQ standards and values.
• Promote proactive SHEQ awareness and behavioural initiatives for the alliance.
• Overall coordination of the development, implementation and improvement of the necessary management systems for the alliance.
• Systems& compliance with relevant standards.
• Responsible for meeting internal and external reporting and auditing requirements. Maintenance of information and data management systems.
• Supporting the site-based operations; project teams and alliance wide requirements with practical and integrated systems.
• Provide leadership and coaching to SHEQ team on the management system.
• Ensure integration with all alliance management systems (safety, health, environment, and quality).
Support the achievement of SHEQ performance targets.
• Facilitate harmonisation with Anglian Water, @one alliance and partner standards and systems.
• Development of SHEQ team management system skills and capability.
• Development and implementation of an internal audit programme.
• Quality of advice (written and verbal).
• Support the development of initiatives or improvements that improve SHEQ performance
• Productive working relationships.
• Develop and implement the @one alliance SHEQ management system.
• Monitor and review health and safety targets and outcome measures.
• Manage the identification of the improvements required to health & safety policies & procedures to provide improved systems, services and support, including the integrated SHEQ management system.
• Monitor and report appropriate metrics to measure and drive improvement in the service being provided by SHEQ to the @One Alliance.
• Work with @ Head of SHEQ & leadership teams to develop and deliver clear, effective and implementable SHEQ management system, which meets the strategic needs of the alliance.
• Constantly bring ideas which challenge the thinking of the SHEQ team about how they could influence areas with health & safety shortcomings.
• Compliance with Alliance and statutory standards, processes and procedures across all projects and sites; driving continuous improvement at all stages.
• Liaison with delivery teams, supply chain partners and subcontractors, designers, product suppliers, client, and other relevant parties on SHEQ management system matters.

Qualifications
•Degree qualification in health, safety, and environment or similar or significant relevant experience as well as experience with ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 (knowledge of 45001) and ISO 9001.

•Experience of accrediting management systems and maintaining accreditation.

Experience of internal systems auditing and audit processes; including development and delivery of an audit programme.
