We are looking to enhance and grow our Streets team with individuals that share our enthusiasm and determination to deliver Traffic and Local & Urban Roads schemes. This Streets team is located in Croydon and forms part of the Roads team which has an established track record of successfully delivering traffic engineering projects.
Our Streets team is involved in a number of high-profile projects with a variety of Clients in the UK. A selection of our current and recent projects includes:
Thames Tideway Tunnel – Highway Layout and Traffic Management Design
Royal Borough of Greenwich – Town Centre Improvement
Central Bedfordshire Council – Station Interchange, Traffic Calming and Cycling schemes
Oxfordshire County Council – Housing Infrastructure Fund programme
Lead the road engineering design in either Scoping, and Preliminary.
Produce technical design information including drawings, reports and specifications.
Collaborate with the wider project team and other engineering disciplines.
Assist with work delegation and co-ordination to graduates and technicians.
Produce deliverables to a high standard of quality against agreed timescales and within budget.
Responsible for varying aspects of project management, client communication, project delivery and project pursuits.
Undertake Health & Safety duties and fulfilling CDM designer responsibilities.
Regularly communicate to the Principal Engineer/ Project Manager on project progress.
Demonstrate knowledge and experience of developing feasibility, and preliminary design to traffic/local roads problems which include Alignment, Drainage, Pavement, Road Restraint System, Road Signs & Markings.
Knowledge or awareness of walking & cycling design, traffic calming, Healthy Streets, junction design, and carriageway renewal design.
Knowledge of local and national design standards including, but not limited to; TSRGD, Manual for Streets, DMRB, Streetscape guidance and Traffic Signs Manual.
Demonstrate understanding of Health and Safety including CDM responsibilities.
Advance knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office applications.
B.Sc., BEng or MEng degree in Civil Engineering, or relevant Engineering discipline.
