Edwards Exhaust Management Systems business is the world�s leading supplier of technology to abate toxic and global warming gases produced during the manufacture of microelectronic devices.

As part of Edwards�s constant drive to improving product quality, Edwards is looking to employ a Senior Systems Engineer to and improve common assemblies, production support, as well as support component obsolescence and fault investigations on released products.

Main responsibilities will be to provide engineering support to the Key accounts. As well as developing design improvements, quality improvement, cost reduction, enhanced functionality, engineering change and providing support to production on day to day issues.

Broad activities will include:-

Strong problem solving ability with a controls and electrical bias.
Ability to plan and estimate duration of their work in the context of larger projects
Experience of working on a system or equipment design / development environment preferred
Ability to perform engineering calculations and basic FEA in support of the design.
Understanding of piping and instrumentation diagrams and system schematics
Experience of FMEA, HAZOP, DFMEA and other design and risk analysis techniques
Experience in the type testing of equipment in support of design.
Value engineering
Hands on ability to build test-rigs and develop testing plans
Knowledge of appropriate EN/UL standards, Machinery Directive & Low voltage directive.
Used to working in a multidisciplinary environment
Attention to detail and right first time approach
Good written and oral communication
Ability to plan and estimate duration of their work in the context of larger projects
Understand key project deliverable and requirements and have the ability to report concisely to the project leader
Positive attitude and ability to work under pressure.
CAD - Catia for 3D modelling and an element of design drafting would be very useful
AutoCad Electrical experience preferable
Knowledge of BS EN 8888

Qualifications/Education/Certifications:
Good Electrical/Electronic or Mechatronics biased Engineering degree, other engineering qualifications depending on experience.

Experience:
At least 5 years� experience within a multidisciplinary engineering environment. System Engineering with an electrical/electronic bias is preferred.
