What we need
We are actively seeking a Senior Software Engineer (SharePoint) to be based in our Royston Office on a permanent basis.
Working within the application development team, the Software Engineer (SharePoint) will provide on-going configuration and development support for global collaboration environments and solutions; in line with agreed service levels. All work is thoroughly tested through unit tests, integration tests and acceptance tests so that IT has confidence it has met the criteria given and is robust enough that we can modify/extend it without breaking existing functionality. Adhere to JMs software quality standards and policies.
Responsible for estimating, planning, and managing their tasks and reporting on progress.
Interacting with users as necessary to clarify requirements.
Maintain, enhance and develop solutions according to user stories captured in JIRA or other requirements documents.
Extensive experience in service delivery, client management and management of third parties in the delivery chain
Demonstrable IT and business work experience with a broad range of exposure to various technical environments and business segments
Demonstrated breadth and in-depth knowledge of IT service delivery, Service continuity, ITIL processes and tools
Broad understanding of the current and emerging technology trends, service management and compliance and risk frameworks in a complex global multi-vendor environment
Excellent communication skills. Expert in influencing and motivating individuals and teams, and comfortable working at multiple levels
Develop applications/services to design specifications in line with Architecture Technical standards
Translating UX wireframes into code that will update the front end of the O365 collaboration site
Develop automation tools for daily tasks
Code reviewing builds from other developers in the development team
Provide L2/L3 support as required for collaboration applications, via tickets received from the JMIT Service Desk. These include Service Requests, Incident, and Application Change Requests. These will be managed according to the service levels agreed for the applications in question.
Are you the ideal candidate?
You will have:
Experience with HTML, CSS/LESS/SCSS etc., TypeScript, and responsive design
A good understanding of Webpack / Gulp
SP Framework (SPFx)
Power Apps / Power Automate
RESTful APIs and experience integrating cloud services
Agile Methodologies and approaches including tooling such as JIRA
CI/CD pipeline experience
