Position summary

Your opportunity
Deloitte Risk Advisory Asset Accelerator is looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer who is passionate about building cloud based applications. You will have a strong background in the design, build and deployment of a variety of applications.

This role would suit a full stack software engineer with experience of Agile software development and strong experience in multiple frameworks such Python/Django/Flask, Javascript/React, as well as demonstrable experience of TDD, CI/CD automation in AWS and Azure cloud environments.

In this role you will be based in our Cardiff delivery centre and work on projects with our business and supporting functions. You will architect, build and scale cloud-based solutions using a wide range of technologies such as AWS and Azure, working alongside people with a diverse range of skillsets. You will serve as an expert in your discipline.

Your role
Your role will have multiple responsibilities including:

* Solid understanding and application of software development best practices, with the ability to encourage the team to embrace these principles.
* Development of new products, tools and systems to enhance Deloitte Risk Advisory’s analytics, reporting and risk management capabilities.
* Resolve complex issues in specialised areas based on existing solutions and procedures, identifying and optimising on inefficiencies
* Design and create scalable solutions for our internal and external applications, data infrastructure and integrations with 3rd party services and systems.
* Provide 3rd line support and specialist advice to Operational and Product teams.
* Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

Your professional experience
Essential

* At least 5 years Full Stack development experience building cloud applications and solutions using Python, Django/Flask, HTML/CSS, React/Angular/Vue etc
* Solid experience of cloud technologies such as Lambda, Athena, FarGate
* In depth knowledge of Agile DevOps software development tools and methodologies (JIRA, CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform etc.)
* Experience in developing and working with APIs
* Strong database/data structures knowledge and experience
* Ability to adapt to new technologies, learn quickly and pass on this knowledge to other team members
* Proven experience in working with remote/offshore team members
* Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills, knowing when to ask the right questions
* Strong Team Player
Desirable

* Experience with financial services development
* Experience with systems based on the application of risk or financial models
* Experience with Robotic Process Automation and AI/ML
