Senior Site Manager (civils) - Birmingham, West Midlands (County)
Murphy are recruiting a Senior Site Manager (Engineering) to lead and be the main point of contact on-site for a mixed package of utilities related schemes for a 5-year framework with Severn Trent Water.
THE FRAMEWORK
Severn Trent Water (STW) Capital Delivery Framework for the 7 successful LOT 1 Contractors comprises of a multidisciplinary programme of works covering
* Clean & Wastewater Treatment
* Infrastructure and
* Reactive works across its vast region
STW has received 'Fast Track' status from OFWAT and are thus 1 of 3 Water Utilities proceeding from 1 April 2020 with their AMP 7 Programme of works.
For LOT1 contractors this will be a share of around £1.5bn over the next 5 years. The Framework has within it a provision to extend the contract to eight years based on performance. Call - Off Orders based on NEC4 Options A, C or E forms of contract selected as appropriate for given projects or batches of work

YOUR PROFILE
* Previous management responsibility of a large team 15-25 people including: engineers, foreman, supervisors, operatives and apprentices
* Ability to produce, implement and manage safe systems of work for construction procedures. RAMS and Health and Safety knowledge
* Confidently communicate and present to management, clients and the public
* Discuss and advise on engineering issues with people across various levels and disciplines
* An understanding of the commercial issues in undertaking a medium scale construction project
* Previous experience as a Site Manager within civils
* Operating IT systems, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
* CSCS Card (Supervisor or Managers)
* SMSTS (CITB)
* ISOH Managing Safety
* First Aid at Work
* Temporary Works Awareness (CITB)
* Environmental Management (SEATS)
* Asbestos Management
* CDM Awareness
* COSHH Awareness
* DSEAR Awareness
* Manual Handling
* Shea Passport
* Water Hygiene
