Job Summary

AECOM's Glasgow Cost Management team are, on the back of increasing work load and win successes, looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on exciting and challenging projects nationally (and potentially internationally). The approach to these projects requires a high degree of flexibility and creativity, excellent presentational skills and an ability to communicate effectively with clients and consultants

Job Responsibilities:

*

To undertake full scope of CM services including Pre and Post Contract Cost Planning; Procurement; Contract Admin.

*

Understanding of Healthcare, Further Education, Defence and Commercial & new build and refurbishment projects

*

Delivering projects through the Hub Public, Private Partnership (PPP) procurement route

*

Understanding of various contract forms in particular NEC3 Options A and C

*

Advising clients and design teams on cost, value and risk, not just cost - our USP is that we help our clients get the maximum value from their investment, not just the lowest cost.

*

An experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor good numeracy, verbal and written communication skills.

*

Willingness to challenge in a positive and engaging manner.

*

You will possess post graduate experience in a quantity surveying environment.

*

Understanding of a variety of project types/sizes/sectors. Healthcare, Defence Commercial, Education, sector experience would be advantageous.

*

Able to work under own initiative and manage other staff where appropriate.

*

Keen to work as part of a team and to develop and progress career development.

Minimum Requirements

*

An experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a consulting background who shares our passion for delivering high quality consulting services to clients.

*

Very good numeracy, verbal and written communication skills.

*

Willingness to challenge in a positive and engaging manner.

*

You will possess proven experience in a professional environment.

*

Good experience of a variety of project types/sizes/sectors. Healthcare, Defence Commercial, Further Education, sector experience would be advantageous. Able to work under own initiative where appropriate.

*

Keen to work as part of a team and to develop and progress career development.

Preferred Qualifications
