Following a successful acquisition in March 2021, Kelly Taylor & Associates (KTA) is a Hydrock company which will retain its own identity for the foreseeable future.

We have an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager (Mechanical) to join KTA’s Lutterworth office, with the option for you work from home and travel to sites regionally and nationally, as required. This is a great role an established Senior Project Manager or a Project Manager looking to step up to a Senior level position, with our training and development support.

Founded in the 1980s, and with over three decades of experience working predominantly with both blue-chip developers and end users in the logistics and distribution warehouse sector, Kelly Taylor & Associates (KTA) deliver mechanical, electrical and public health engineering design, utilities infrastructure, and energy and sustainability consultancy services.

Projects

There are a number of projects that Hydrock and KTA have collaborated on with clients including GLP and SEGRO, most notably the recent completion of Magnitude 314 for GLP at Magna Park in Milton Keynes. This 314,123 sq ft logistics development is the world’s first Net Zero Carbon for Construction verified building, and Hydrock delivered the civil, structural and ground engineering design, and KTA the M&E design.

Essential requirements

* HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent certified Mechanical Engineer with a strong track record.
* Significant and credible experience in building services design.
* Experience working at a senior project manager level or as project lead.
* Ability to write performance specifications and oversee performance drawings for industrial buildings contracts.
* Experience with industrial/commercial building projects.
* Comfortable working independently (home working an option), collaborating with a team including regular contact and coordination.
* Experience and some understanding of electrical installations.
* Liaison with design team, statutory authorities and contractors.
* A comprehensive knowledge of current building regulations including gas & water regulations.
* Be a self-motivated team player with good people skills.
* Strong communication, analysis, technical design and drawing skills
* Experience undertaking design at pre-planning, planning and pre-contract stages.

Desirable (non-essential) requirements

* Hold or be working towards chartership with CIBSE/IMechE.
* Logistics project experience.
* Experience in witness testing.
