Senior Project Manager - Birchwood

We are an award winning practice with approximately 120 Project Managers operating in 15 UK offices and across 9 countries.

We specialise in the development and delivery of major projects across most of the main infrastructure sectors, either as an independent Project Manager or as the leader of a multi-disciplinary team.

Based in Birchwood, Warrington on site with our client, you will be responsible for project delivery and accountable for meeting project objectives. You will be a team player and able to deliver multiple projects to cost and on schedule.

Joining our existing project management team, you will bring a wide range of project management skills, knowledge and experience of working closely with clients, stakeholders and all disciplines to manage projects and deliver on some challenging timelines. Due to the varied nature of our work, it is important that you are flexible with respect to employed location (potentially based on-site).

From day one, you will be involved in delivering current projects and supporting the bid process for future opportunities. Your main focus will be nuclear sector projects but you may also be required to support other sectors within our business. Your responsibilities will include all aspects of pre and post contract project delivery from bidding through to completion on site; including health and safety, quality control, programming, cost control, reporting, client and stakeholder liaison.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with well-developed professional and commercial skills and a proven track record of delivering multi-discipline projects ideally, but not exclusively, within the nuclear sector. The ability to identify project requirements, develop a programme of delivery, control costs, manage project governance and work collaboratively with a team of people from across the business will be crucial for success. You will be busy, challenged and will feel rewarded.

About You

* Well-developed and proven project management skills

* Experience of working with NEC3

* Effective communication skills

* Proven track record of delivering projects in highly regulated industries

* Evidence of working collaboratively with clients and suppliers to deliver positive results

* Upholding professional and ethical behaviour in everything you do

* Good practical application of Microsoft Project and all other MS software

* Full UK driving licence

* SC clearance or suitability for SC clearance

* Project Management/Engineering/Construction related degree

Ideally applicants will hold, or be committed to achieving, project management and/or other professional qualifications and will be members of a recognised professional institution.

Experienced in successfully securing and delivering major construction projects from inception to completion, with the ability to produce commercial bids, write persuasive project proposals and perform effectively at the interview stage of a bid. You will have the ability to manage other professionals and to collaborate effectively.
