Senior Project Manager – Water Infrastructure - London

An opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to lead a £30m scope of work in 2021 on clean water infrastructure projects in north London on the lot 1 Thames Water AMP 7 framework.

Based in Maple Lodge, North London

Reporting to the Framework Manager

Responsibility for end-to-end project delivery for multiple projects simultaneously valued at £7-30m.

What you will be doing

* Overall management of project teams during the construction and installation phase of the project

* Co-ordination of constructability input during solutions identification and development phase

* Co-ordination and allocation of construction staff to projects ensuring that appropriate construction and installation staff are appointed to individual projects: based on experience, skills and knowledge

* Liaises with the Project Managers to ensure that the construction resource pool is an appropriate size, with an appropriate blend of skill-sets for the projected workload

* Overall management of construction resources including Labour, Plant and Materials

* Overall performance management of subcontractors

* Ensures that the construction and installation teams are accountable for their performance against agreed schedules and man-hour budgets

* Ensures that all construction and installation activities are carried out in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation

* Mirror the Murphy Values of Safety, Leadership, Integrity and Respect in all behaviours.

* Actively promote and embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.

Who we’re looking for

* Extensive project management experience on a major civils project or framework

* Clean water experience on a framework with a tier 1 contractor is essential

* Demonstrable management of projects worth c.£30m.

* SMSTS (CITB)

* ISOH Managing Safety

* Environmental Management (SEATS)

* CDM Awareness

* Shea Passport

* Water Hygiene

About the project

* Thames Water AMP7 is a 4-year long framework (plus a possible 5 year extension into AMP8)

* Murphy is a Primary Contractor in Lot 5 North London Infrastructure, value £200m

* The framework will consist of the delivery of ECI, detailed design, build, commissioning and handover of water and wastewater infrastructure schemes

* Include individual projects up to £30m (majority will be less than £15m with average value of £5 – 7m)

* Design Partner in place

* Featuring repairs and build of new assets including water treatment plants, pump stations, sewers, pipeline, reservoirs and drainage.
