Position Title Senior Project Manager

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Project Manager for Major Projects for immediate employment. The role will be specifically to lead and manage a wide range of industrial and energy projects.

Minimum Requirements

*

Role to be site based initially in the South East of the UK

*

Participate in major project, client and national strategy initiatives

*

Manages project stages through to handover being accountable for delivering on time and on budget industrial projects ranging in value up to £400M

*

Develops, establishes, and administers project execution best practices and tools for execution management and reporting

*

Ability to safely organise, schedule, mobilise and direct equipment, material and people in performance of a project.

*

Coordinates program activities with appropriate senior client management.

*

Ability to interpret and manage contracts in order to maintain the client and AECOM's interest.

*

Develops and delivers management reports for overall progress, scheduling, cost control and staffing relative to the project delivery schedules

*

Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.

*

Reviews recommended actions in resolving disputes relative to construction projects.

*

Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyse results, and troubleshoot problem areas.

*

Proactively manages changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

*

Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

*

Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Preferred Qualifications

*

Oil & Gas experience preferrable

*

Professional Qualified – ideally Project Management/ Construction/Engineering/Quantity Surveying Degree

*

Chartered Status with the RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE or other equivalent institution

*

APM affiliation preferred (as secondary accreditation)

*

Prince 2 or MSP experience

*

Good Understanding of contracts (NEC3, JCT, etc…)
